My Friends Tigger and Pooh
My Friends Tigger and Pooh
We’re always there for each other
You’ll see just how fun it can be
With so much in the world to discover
And if I need help on the way
Buster might save the day
Or Piglet, Lumpy or Roo
Eeyore has a paw to lend
Rabbit has an ear to bend
Now all we’re missing is you…
Hooray it’s a honey-ful day
So let’s laugh and let’s play here together
With My Friends Tigger and Pooh

My New Friends
I have a good friend who comes to my house now before she goes to school. her name is Sidney and she’s going to be 5 tomorrow, 8/28/2008.
My Mommy has a little daycare now, so she can teach kids here, instead of going to the big school to teach 2nd grade.

They landed a Space Ship on Mars!
Wow! What a big surprise. NASA landed a robot space ship on Mars, which is 422 million miles away. I guess the scientists wanted to know if there were any Martians. I could have told them the answer to that one right away. My family is Martian. Anyway, they were really happy to have accomplished this big technological feat. They will have to analyze the chemicals there to see if life was/is viable.

Cooking Experiments from Jasmine’s Kitchen
First of all let me tell you that ever since I was born, I have been a vegetarian. My favorite foods are fruits and vegetables. I know that sounds kind of boring, but believe me it’s not. My grandmother has a neat site that we use sometimes for recipes, Veggie bliss. My Mother has been using some of the chocolate (unsweetened) banana green smoothies and woe, she is really losing weight! Well let me get back to what I’m doing today. I want to make some eggplant pakoras and maybe some potato pakoras too. Let me explain a little about that. First, you have to make a batter, but instead of flour, you use besan flour, which is made from chickpeas. so, you see, I’m getting a lot of protein with that. Now you will just sift the flour with some baking powder and add tumeric, garam masala, jalapeno powder, salt and pepper and curry powder. Don’t make it too thick or too liquidy. Have your vegetable oil heated as you will be cutting slices of eggplant and coating them in the batter and then immersing the slices in the hot oil.
Watch the pakoras rise while they’re cooking and they will get nice and brown.
Take them out on paper towels and serve with a vegetable subji and rice.
You may think this is very fattening, but remember you are getting lots of vegetable goodies and the proteim from the besan flour.
You can make pakoras with zucchini, summer squash, bell peppers, just about any vegetable you can think of.
So, Bon Apetit!
